As our country is being rent, literally and psychologically, by the protests surrounding the death of George Floyd, I offer the following prayer:
Thought cleaves unity; where there is thought, may it restore wholeness.
Speech divides silence; where there is speech, may it recover peace.
Action carves stillness; where there is action, may it repair serenity.
Unity, silence, stillness, and their attendant attributes of wholeness, peace, and serenity constitute divinity and its expression of love in man. In these times, and always, may we find the love that binds us all together as one, in our collective humanity, and our inner Godhood.
